We were offered very complete breakfasts , more abundant than we expected. Good variety and very friendly staff. A pity that its situated behind a garage building, nethertheless recommendable.

This was a very nice hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good. However, its location was not suitable to my needs because it was not located close to the old town of Freiburg. When I travel in Europe I like to stay in hotels that are close to the old part of town or at least close to the train station because I am interested in exploring the old, medieval parts of town with its old churches, buildings, old world charm and history. Although Hotel Stadt Freiburg was a very nice hotel with great amenities including breakfast, it was located too far from where I wanted to be. So the next time I visit Freiburg I will stay at a different hotel located closer to the train station or to the old town.

A 5 minute walk to the tram service which took you into the city centre within a further 5 minutes
