Hotel Rubino Rome
2 out of 5

I chose this hotel as i was arriving and leaving Rome from the train station (both quite early in the morning) and it seemed the easiet / most convenient option. The hotel is ok, you get what you pay for. The major downside was that it sounded like there was a party on every night and the hotel smelt of smoke. Also my room was next to the cleaners cupboard and they started banging about from 5am. As I said you get what you pay for and if you need something cheap for a night at the Termini it is a perfect choice - just bring some earplugs!!!!

Cheap and in a good location. Cold room, heating wasn't so great. Included breakfast was fantastic though, you go over to a nearby cafe with great coffee and pastries.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location just in front of Termini Station. I will definitely consider staying in again next time.

Good for what you paid for. If all you need is somewhere to quickly shower and change, it's okay but not the most comfortable place to stay. A little too public.

The hotel is OK. for someone who doesn't want to spend to much money for a few days in Rome. A little bit expencive for the facilities offered. For the summer time it will be a minus because it has no freezer. The location is OK, near Termini Station, on a quiet road. Another minus is the breakfast that is far from"continental", one cofee and one croisant/pers., the rest you have to pay.

Good hotel for a short stay. Helpful English speaking avail during office hrs. Security & safety is acceptable eventhough it is very near the busy Termini station

Water is not strong and hot enough for taking a shower. Bad breakfast as they just provide a ticket for you to go to the nearby cafe for just a cup of coffee/drink with a cold croissant. Furniture inside room is old at in poor condition.

The room is too small. With 2 single beds we could hardly move. The breakfast were served in another place down the street. We had to collect our voucher daily from the hotel reception and walk a block away for breakfast. (1 cup of coffee and 1 croissant).

For first-time visitors to Rome, Rubino's location is really convenient. It is next to the Termini and only 2 minutes walk away. Breakfast was at the TravelCafe (about 1 minute walk away from the hotel) consisting of a croissant and a cup of coffee. A nice start for the day but definitely not sufficient to last till lunch. Buy your bus/metro tickets from newspaper agents (at the termini). There are ticketing machine that do NOT work around Rome. They eat up your coins and don't give you a refund!!! Generally it was worth the price and our stay was pleasant. Thanks to the Rubino staff for making our staff a memorable one. We will certainly recommend the hotel.

As expected for a two star hotel, but good beds and quite clean. Expencive but it's Rome. But what about fire - security? What would happen if fire??? No fire stairs on the back-side and a lot of paper under the elevator. What would happen if somebody threw a cigarette?

Perfect location for getting ANYWHERE in Rome- Termini is right around the corner. Also, bus from Ryanair flights drops you 2 mins walk from the hotel. Very simple rooms, but clean, light and cheap. Perfect for the busy tourist who simply needs a pied-a-terre.
