The dinner reservation system seemed random and unorganized. It was difficult for guest like myself who left the resort early for fishing and excursions. They need an ATM in the hotel. Everything else was great.

Beautiful place in the world! We just got home from a family vacation at RIU Guanacaste, there were a total of 7 travelers. We absolutely LOVED the RIU. The people couldn't have been nicer. Many, many food choices and the drinks were delicious. Also, the excursions from the hotel were very well organized and so much fun. The Arenal Volcano tour is a MUST. Choose the RIU with confidence. I would definitely go back!

Hotel was beautiful, awesome location but it is on a black sand beach and the water wasn't as expected. Plenty to do at or away from hotel, I suggest the canopy tour package, it was a great deal and a lot of fun but be sure to bring a ton of bug spray, the mosquitos were relentless in the jungle! Food is pretty good but keep in mind that all beverages are really really sugary. Really, no complaints, my wife and I loved it, it was perfect for a honeymoon!

We had a very nice stay. The food was great the room was very clean. The staff was very friendly. The biggest problem for me they had no small shampoo and conditioners in the rooms all they had was a soap dispenser on the wall in the shower for hair and body. Fine for the body and not for the hair. The beach is beautiful water was great plenty of chairs around the pool and the beach. Would definitely go again. Costa Rica is a beautiful place and so is the Riu top notch.
