Hotel Plaza Florencia Mexico City Guest Reviews
The staff at this hotel were very helpfull and friendly. It is conveniently located to all shops, embassies, and the Museum of Anthropoly I had a very good experience , the restaurant was very clean and the prices were excellent. They chef prepared vegetarian meals specially for me, as they did not had a vegtarian menu.

Hotel was decent, only issue i had with it was, there was no refrigerator in the room (no where to keep drinks cold) , Breakfast Room Service was TERRIBLE (French Toast/Pancakes dont come with Syrup but Honey and its terrible) But there are many places to eat close by for cheap and tasted great. If you dont mind being around alot of Confused GENDER folks.

I wrote a review on this hotel as soon as I got home from this trip only to discover there were bed bug bites up and down the backs of my arms. I contacted the friend I traveled with and she found bed bug bites on various parts of her body. I have noticed there are many positive reviews on this site. Like I mentioned before, location is great and MOST of the staff is friendly and accommodating but it doesn't make up for the filthy sheets, bed bugs and getting ripped off by the "taxi" service they choose for us. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. Although the value of the room wasn't bad, I don't recommend staying at this hotel. Zona Rosa is a fantastic location but there are probably better hotels in that area. Initially, we requested the rooms to be made up in the morning, only to find that the sheets were never changed. (I questioned the cleanliness of the sheets to begin with. My bed had some dirt and hairs on it when we first checked in) And since the sheets weren't going to be changed, we placed the 'do not disturb' sign on the door, only to find they had entered it anyway to make the beds (without changing any sheets, of course!) The staff is particularly nice for the most part. I gave it a low rating because of one incident: My friend and I were planning to go out and Victor, the front desk clerk suggested a few places offered to call a cab for us. (By the way, there is a sign in the lobby stating if you need a cab, the staff would be happy to assist you in calling for one) At first I thought it was a very nice gesture, until we saw the cab. It was an unmarked car with no meter. The driver ended up charging us approximately 120 pesos just to drive us around the corner a few blocks away! On the way back, we caught a cab with a meter in it and it only cost 10 pesos to get back to the hotel! We saw Victor when we arrived and told him about the incident. He obviously didn't care that we got ripped off and all he cared to say was he didn't remember who or what we were talking about! Very suspicious in my opinion. Also, this hotel advertises free wifi but it the signal kicks on and off frequently. Became more frustrating than what it's worth. One more thing, if you still decide to stay here, be sure to bring your own washcloth for showering as they do not provide them in your hotel room.
