Hotel Nikko Tokyo
5 out of 5

Had to book a whole heaps of things and run many errands - concierge was efficient and friendly in their service. Buffet breakfast and room could not fault. I've stayed in other Nikko chain hotels before so as expected, this one was just as exceptional.

Trip purpose:Disneyland with 2 small children. This hotel was excellent for that and also has a large local shopping area Located at the Daiba station of the Yurikamome line (Yamamote line-Shimbashi station, across road to Yurikamome line), Hotel Nikko was one of the nicest luxury hotels we have stayed at, exceeding standards of service compared to most Australian 5* hotels. Staff spoke good English, were extremely attentive. They accepted our baggage a early from takkyubin, organised our JAL baggage service to Haneda. Our premiere room with bkfst and internet were spacious and modern (they accomodated our request for 2 beds), buffet breakfasts were excellent and Good neighbour Disney hotel bus was a bonus but timings were a bit infrequent (for young children). Disney fireworks last 5 mins and are distantly seen from disneysea. Tokyo view was lovely esp with balcony. Recommended for a Disney stay. If you were focused on central tokyo the train change might make it a bit far.

This is a beautiful hotel with a great view over Tokyo Harbour. Our room was gorgeous with great facilities. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Although not in the centre of Tokyo it was only a ten minute train ride away with the staion right opposite the hotel. It is worth noting that if you buy a Japan Rail Pass it does not cover the line the hotel is on. My only negative experience was paying almost $15.00 for one small cup of mediocre coffee in the hotel bar area! I did not make that mistake again and we ate away from the hotel.

A great hotel at a great location. The help and kindness we received with our small problems was well beyond expectation. The food was great but it was very expensive.
