My wife and I had a belated honeymoon week in beautiful Cozumel. The resort itself was a bit older, and felt nicely worn, but it's not going to be the same as a 5-star mega-hotel. There are two pools, and no jacuzzis unless you get a paradise sweet. We had a paradise suite and had a few great nights reading and relaxing in our bit tub while watching the ocean. The main dinIng area is cafeteria style, but it wasn't bad at all. Be sure to ask for cappuccino or ice cream specifically if you want that. Our biggest complaint was that they don't have in room coffee makers. If you want early morning coffee, be sure to bring a French press and a hot pot

We had a terrific stay at the Melia Cozumel. My father and brother golfed and they both agreed it was an absolutely gorgeous course. Our group (8 of us) all stayed in the tower, we decided to pay the extra $200 to upgrade after initially being put in an incredibly moldy smelling room (room 241). It was worth the extra money as the tower rooms had extra space -we had our 9 7 12 yr old children with us. The rooms were very clean, I would not want the job of sweeping all that sand up every day. The food at the buffet restaurant was very good, we had to wait in line to make reservations at the two other restaurants, we enjoyed the Paradiso grill more than the Iguana grill. The resort did not seem too crowded, the drinks were very tasty and adequately strong. most of the staff were very friendly-the guy at the snack bar was sort of dour. All in all we were very happy at the Melia and would stay there again.

The rooms were large, clean and comfortable and the staff was attentive and friendly. The food was just ok but my family loved eating just steps from the shore. While this wasn't as nice as some other all-inclusives the price was much lower and it was a great value. We would stay again if we paid the same low price. Two suggestions for the hotel would be to heat the pool (it was extremely cold!) and upgrade the fitness center.

Have stayed at this hotel many times before On this trip noted a great improvement in quality of drinks and food. A lot of the bartenders are the same but I think they have better quality liquers to work with. Had amazing margarita's and mexican coffees. The staff are always outstanding. The buffet food was definitely better as was the food in the Paraiso resturant.

The Golf inclusive is not included in the package the green fees are free but the country club informed me that free clubs are not available ever. The thirty dollar cart fee is per person so the minimum price for FREE golf is $75. I am upset with myself for getting taken. We would Not recomend the Melia to anyone.

WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS HOTEL FOR THE 3RD TIME. IT HAS THE BEST BEACH, ALTHOUGH THE WATER IS NOT AS CLEAR MOST OF THE TIME. THE HOTEL STAFF ARE GREAT FROM THE FRONT DESK TO THE CLEANING STAFF. EVERYONE SPEAKS AND IS VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMODATING. THE FOOD IS GOOD, NOT 5 STR BUT YOU ARE NOT PAYING 5 STAR PRICES EITHER. WE CERTAINLY PLAN TO GO BACK.

This is our second time to stay here. WE LOVE THE MELIA! The staff is some of the friendliest people you could ever meet. Our first time here was on our honeymoon, this time it was a family vacation. We took our four year old with us and he bad a blast. This resort could have better food, but it isn't bad. We like exploring the island and taking in the culture, so we don't eat at the resort much anyway. The rooms were always cleaned twice a day and the mini fridge and fruit were filled daily. I couldn't be happier with our stay and plan on returning next year. r.

we love the Melia Cozumel!!!! All the services we great!!! All the staff are very intelligent. The food was good-but the deserts were the best!!! We had choices- either quiet places or places with a lot of people, most were very nice and friendly. We will go back again!!
