Hotel Louis Blanc
3.6 out of 5

I was at the Gare du Nord train station thinking it is very near. It was drizzling and I had to push my heavy luggage and walk for almost 30 min before I managed to find the hotel. However, after that it was fine as the hotel is just across the subway. Now that I know the exact location, I will stay again if I visit Paris.

They have air conditioning and it saved us a lot. The location was perfect. It was in front of a subway station and we did not hear any noise from outside. The room was very clean and with a bath. We were impressed with that. We made a claim about payment with our mistake and they handle it with respect and professionalism. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff,English speaking, willing to help on any queries. Convenient location to Eurostar, only 3 metro stops. Good base to explore aspects of city. Would definately stay there again, and recommend it to anyone on cheap to moderate budget.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff was very friendly. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay that is conviniently located to all the sites, this hotel is a good choice. The Louis Blanc metro is right across the street. But, I walked to many sites by walking down Rue Frg. St. Dennis or Blvd Sebastipol. Easy walk to the Marais, Les Halles, Louvre, etc... I stayed at other hotels in this price range that were not half as nice.

Everything we expected. Very clean, staff not fussy but got job done. Facilities limited but you balance this against the price you pay. Breakfast should satisfy most people. Excellent location, metro across the road(Louis Blanc).

This is a basic but comfortable hotel less than 10 minutes walk from the Gare du Nord. The room we had for 3 nights was on the fourth floor looking out on to rue Louis Blanc. The street was not as busy as the rue Faubourg St Martin, and what traffic noise there was did not affect our sleeping. The room was compact in every respect but fine as a nightime resting place. We soon learned the knack of using the powerful shower without swamping the bathroom. The hotel entrance is just a few steps from Louis Blanc Metro station with direct trains to shopping, museums and restaurant areas. There are 4 other metro stations within 5-7 minutes walk at Stalingrad, Jaurés, Château Landon and Magenta/Gare du Nord. Locally there is a wide range of food stores in rue Fbg. St Martin, a 24/7 laundry in rue Louis Blanc, and a variety of restaurants around Louis Blanc station. For the basic price this is good value for Paris at anytime, with a friendly welcome to a clean, well-run hotel.

Very tiny hotel but the staff was friendly. Next to a metro station. Breakfast was quite good. Near chinese restaurants, other than that the surroundings were just ok.

Everything is just perfect here. It is also a very safe hotel with good emergency exits. Subway opposite the street. Breakfast is very complete with fresh eggs, fresh orangejus and fruits. Nice sunny courtyard to eat your breakfast in summertime. Also the coffee/tea service in the room is highly appreaciated. The swimmingpool and tenniscourt at the hotel, mentioned in the hoteldescription are missing. We had a very pleasant stay in the hotel and can highly recomment it.
