Sadly the only good thing about this place was the excellent service both from reception and in the bar and restaurant. The evening meal we had there (because it was so far out of the main area) was really very good and reasonable value. Internal decor very shabby and dated.

The Hotel staff were really friendly. Buffet breakfast was good. They were decorating parts of the hotel where our rooms were, so it was a little smelly and dust sheets were on the floors outside our rooms.

Hotel was easy to find (being near the station). Rooms were spacious and clean. Service was friendly and staff spoke excellent English. Restaurant meal was impressive: an excellent meal at a reasonable price. Will definitely go there again

Bar staff need training to meet customers needs. Dinning room closed without telling guests.

Booking wrong. Service slow by untrained staff but they were trying Breakfast fair to middling! Not sure where the *** rating came from.
