Hotel LKF By Rhombus (Lan Kwai Fong) Hong Kong Guest Reviews (35)
Hotel is fantastic and convenient - but be aware it is in the HK party district and you will hear music at night! So stay here if you like to dance in the streets and party rather than being at a quiet retreat!!

Had a 4 night stay here recently. I was hoping for a unique boutique hotel experience and yes, we were given one. Bathoom had only 2 towels, share that between 2pax who showers twice a day. Ok, maybe they trying to be enviromentally friendly, but still, not replenishing the complimentary tea/coffee on a daily basis? utter disppointment. Housekeeping has varying standards when tidying room. Sometimes used clothes will be folded, other times itbwill just be strewn on the chair, same for bathroom kits. No tidying of opened creams and aftershaves, just a simple clutter left on the sink area. BEST PEEV of all? Hotel has a card saying extra HKD 5 will be added to final bill for charity. Hey, why say we can 'opt out' of it if you are going to discretionary add that charge to out bill? If you want to donate to charity, either donate out of the hotel fund or add it into the bill (room booking cost) and not AFTER we have checked in and booked the hotel. Oh, I almost forgot. Reception was fiddling for. while and said that we could have a room upgrade, and of course we were excited. ut were SHOT down when said we had to pay an additional X amount. Which hotel says such things we can have a room upgrade if we pay more? I got off my 20hour flight and instead of being welcomed I have to put up with a reception that offers me a room upgrade if I want to pay more. Talk About plesant surprises!

The good: 1. good-ish location; it is at Central on HK island, which is central to everything. heaps of shopping, food, and close to subway. although the hotel is on the top of the Lan Kwai Fong hill, so it is a bit of a walk with luggage coming out from the subway station. and although it is party central, i actually find it fairly well behaved so it wasn't too bad even combing back midnight - ppl are still sober then. 2. the room was amazing; HK is so small so most of the rooms i have stayed at are SMALL. but this hotel was pretty good. i did pay for the delux room on a higher floor so it definitely was worth the money. u do hear the sound from night club a little but its nothing to worry about. the room was clean/modern. 3. security, amazing; because there is a nightclub on the top floor, the securities downstairs really looks after their hotel guests. 4. general staff; polite and helpful, couldn't ask for better. The bad: because it is 'party central' - it is not family friendly. do not stay in this hotel if you're going with parents/family, excellent for couples. i see a lot of business men staying here though.... the night club on top floor - don't bother, i see loads and lods of young peole going up there every night so i went up one night myself... really dont see the point. it was just 2 floors, dark, everyone stays on the balcony to smoke... and because it is Central, taxis are hard to get.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel LKF. The staff was exceptional - the room was brilliant, they thought of everything - location was just perfect. Only down-side was it was a bit noisy even on the 12th floor due to the local club life ... great if you like that sort of thing (which we did!). Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again one day.

Great location for restaurants, bars and only 2-3min stroll to Cental Station. Breakfast was very nice and well worth getting a deal including breaky & internet. Good bar on the top floor with great views. Given it's in the middle of the Ex-Pat party district, there is noise from the street below but they do supply ear plugs...or you can just join in on the fun!
