Hotel Ibis Hong Kong North Point
4 out of 5

This hotel is clean and simple. Hardwood floors, a bed, table, shower, etc. It may not have all the perks of a 5-star hotel but it does the job. If you're spending most of your time checking out Hong Kong, then all you need is a hotel that's clean and comfortable. Overall, it's very good value with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The only downsides was a hard bed and possibly a bit far from the sites (another 10 minutes), but it didn't bother me that much.

I had a five days saty at the IBIS North Point which was close to what I wanted to do. The service of the staff was very impressive, the room was well clean and I even got WiFi which I could not even spell befoire going away. I only ate once at the Hotel Resturant and taht was for breakfast which was great for the start of a long long day. I chose to try the local food houses/stalls during the day and evenings as they offerred a greter variety.

The hotel was well priced and 2 mins from North Point station. Tiny room but functional. Easy to get around via the MRT. I would recommend paying extra for the harbour facing rooms. The worst things out the hotel was the sound-proofing of the room. I was there for a week and was woken up 3 nights due to noise from adjoining rooms.

Ibis Hotel North Point is quite worth for what you are paying for. Don't expect a luxury hotel, but it's really in a good location for transportation. Either MTR or BUS to/from Airport are really convenience to reach. Room are pretty small but comfortable. I found some hair somewhere in toilet and in the bed... they should pay more attention on it. My vote for this hotel is 3 on 5.

I got upgraded to a junior suite at check-in to 31st highest floor of the hotel boasting a great view. However, it was raining but I DO enjoy it. There are only two elevators so the service is not quickly expected. The hotel is very closed to the MRT North Point station exit A1. The airport bus from the airport is stop in the front of the hotel costing only $40 HKD. I would certainly stay here again if I visit HKG in the future.

Good, clean hotel close to MTR station and opposite final stop on the A11 bus from the airport (HKD40 single journey).

Though somewhat out of the way I liked the location because you can catch the A11 bus directly from the airport all the way to the hotel plus an entrance to North Point MTR station is just a few doors down. I had a room with a harbour view which would have given a good view but it was very misty the two days that I was there. The air conditioning was good but I must admit that the bed was a little hard for my taste. I was impressed with the fact that they did an early breakfast from about 04:30 but in fact I only tried the late breakfast which ran from 10:30 but I thought that this was good value. On the whole I enjoyed my stay here.

That's a good place if you choose the harbour view room. The staff is helpful, and the location is quite convenient (very close to the metro station entrance, easy to find, although it will take about 15 mins to reach the center). The minuses are: noise level (you can hear everything through your door), no toothpaste/toothbrush, shampoo and slippers, the breakfast is not included in the price, and (someone could take it as a disadvantage) the bed is very hard. But in general I liked my stay.

Great location where MRT and Bus station besides the hotel. Surrounding area has good local food - Wan Tan Mee(egg noodles), Fish ball noodles, etc and a morning market nearby. hotel room is not that spacious but good enough for the price paid.

Ibis North Point is a budget hotel .Room is quite small for a couple however the bathroom is fine .The location is great with a lot of restaurant surrounding the hotel and just a few meters from the exit of North Point MTR. Using the MTR is the most inexpensive way to visit HK .We didn't try the breakfast .We think it will be excellent as Ibis has the reputation to serve a very good breakfast all around the world. We stick with our 'Yum Tsa'. Good for value

Overall a good hotel. Location is not prime but ok for most, extra travel is no problem as it does not take long to get to most places around here. Very close to mtr entrance less than 1 minute walk. Staff were excellent but the room does not have basic things such as a kettle. Good for the price really. I only went once to breakfast and price is reasonable, and average. Very slow lift, but room size is adequate, big enough for hk. Shower does not have a proper recess and water simply drains from the floor. Overall ok, would sty there again for the price.

the location is very convenient as it is very near the train station. However, information given to find the hotel was vague. The room is too small for 2 people and there's hardly any space to move around. The bed is not comfortable .It is a double bed but the centre of the mattress has a hard divider .

Tiny room in a very basic hotel located some 20 metres from Fortress Hill MTR station. The room was tiny - there was not enough space to fit my bag in the wardrobe, so it sat on the floor and I had to step over it.. There are only 2 lifts servicing 20+ floors and they are SO slow - it felt like I spent half my holiday waiting for the lift to come. Having said all that, the location was great, the staff were friendly and efficient, and if you just want a place to rest your head, the Ibis is a good option. Internet fees were a big crazy, so research net access prior to your trip - there are some good, cheap options nearby.

Excellent location. So glad I paid a few $ extra for harbor view room. View was spectacular. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was weird: 4:30 to 6:30 continental breakfast only; 6:30 to 10:30 breakfast buffet only; after 10:30 continental breakfast. A little flexibility in breakfast serving would be appreciated. However, good, reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.
