It is a teaching hotel. I have no problem with that. Amenities are good. However, it is people who make or break a hotel. I really did not expect to be treated differently from other "non Asian" guests. I felt as if I was unwelcome when I walked out of the lift and to be greeted by a blank face of a hotel staff who manned the general area just off the reception. His face changed to warm and smiley when a "white couple" walked past. If you are a "white" person, go for it. For me, this will be the last. By the way, the driver of hotel's courtesy bus was not particularly friendly or helpful either. May be for the same reason - I am "non white".

We found this hotel to be first-class. The room was clean and very well appointed. Free wi-fi and free water daily (other guests had a different 'package' and also got free breakfast). Fantastic buffet breakfast selection (can also eat in the Market cafe for lunch and dinner). Location within walking distance of Hong Kong harbour and shopping. Would definitely stay there again.

We had 10 nights at Hotel Icon and were totally impressed by the high quality in all aspects of this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble - even toe nail clippers were provided when we asked for them! The rooms are extremely comfortable and the pool area is just wonderful. The free shuttle bus around Kowloon provides a great service and the staff help you with all aspects of what to do and how to get there around Hong Kong. We will never stay anywhere else in Hong Kong as we have found the perfect hotel.

The Icon is simply the best hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. From the moment we arrived, we were treated superbly. nothing is an effort at the Icon, the team are all very pleasant, the managment have obviously listened to guests needs because the service balance is perfect. Great location, near the Hung Hom MTR, close to the promenade, great views, excellent facilities, loved the club lounge, club breakfast, and happy hours!! great beds, bathrooms, quiet rooms, great laundry service, concierge service second to none. Definately going back to the Icon, wont stay anywhere else when visiting HK

My wife and I went to Hong Kong for a 3D2N trip to celebrate my wife's birthday. I booked ICON hotel because of the good review published in the web, and when we reached there, everything was true! It is a brand new hotel, very clean, ultra modern design and concept, plus very very good customer service!!! Everything is just perfect! On top of that, they prepared a small birthday cake and birthday card on the day of my wife's birthday! How sweet and thoughtful!!!! We really enjoyed our stay there and we will definitely go back the next time we visit Hong Kong.

This hotel was amazing! The service rivals any Ritz Carlton any day. Everyone was very friendly and was quick to help you in everyway. The amenities were great, free mini bar was a perk. The king sized bed was so comfortable, even more comfortable than my own bed. After a day of touring around we really felt like we were coming to our home in Hong Kong. We have travelled around the world and stayed in all types of hotels but this was the first time I actually felt like I could say that. Room service was good and the breakfast at their Market restaurant was really great. We never tired of the food. I can't speak of the other restaurants as we never got a chance to try them. The location was slightly far fom the train but not bad. Just a little far when we were coming back after a long day of touring.

This hotel room was very comfortable. Very visually appealing since top-notch architect/designers were involved. The rooms are large, especially for Hong Kong standards. The design is very modern, yet still warm. The room has a free minibar (sorry no booze!). I paid $250 per night, an incredible value. But I hear that the prices will be going up soon.

All the first-class comforts and amenities that you would expect from Hotel Icom. Large rooms and helpful, well-trained staff. Within short walking distance to the MRT Train Station. But the beds are too small.

Had a wonderful hotel stay. I was thrilled with the Nespresso Machine in the room which is the taste of home for me. My husband on the other hand was impressed with the high-tech equipments and the connectivity. Not to forget the bed in Harbour 38 overlooks the sea. Will stay here again!

Tried this new hotel as an alternative to Langham. really liked the hotel. Everythig was new and clean. One small observations. the shower was narrow and I am not a big man. It always bothers me when the water sprays out into the bathroom floor. As a middle aged business traveller who regularly visits hong kong and southern china my experince was very positive. while the location was not the best for shopping it was remarkably convenint for KTT to china.
