From the moment we dropped off our luggage and went off sightseeing to coming back to a very comfortable room, we felt welcomed. The staff spoke very good English and the information for sightseeing was very good. The location above the train station is excellent and there are good restaurants to get breakfast, lunch or dinner in the shopping areas in the station. This hotel if far superior to its namesake in Hiroshima. We had a buffet dinner in the restaurant and found it reasonable in price with a good choice of food.

Locate within Kyoto station,very short walking distance to major shopping mall,supermarket and restaurants;the staffs are very helpful who also guide me to the platform when I checked out. The only pity thing are the smell of smoking, although they said it's smoke free, the first night took me until mid night to fall in sleep due to the very upsetting smoking smell,it's simply everywhere.

This hotel is just at the Kyoto station. Is very easy to access to all the places in Japan and is easy to get food or shop for anything around the hotels. The room is clean and i love their pillow. Is good hotel for leisure or business.

Beautiful hotel; steps from the shinkansen, close to shopping and transportation. Note that there computer/business office consists of three computers, difficult to use. So take your computer if you need one.

You can't beat the location in terms of access to things outside of Kyoto. Even for the city itself, it is not bad, but there could be nicer parts of town to stay in. Still, it was the nicest we could afford and didn't leave us wanting. The Superior King room had a good view, was spacious, and had one of the best beds I ever slept in. Excellent staff, and we ordered expensive but delicious room service breakfast once. A fun experience. I would definitely consider the Granvia again.
