It was a nice retro hotel. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. It had excellant service, breakfast was priced great and large. Room was clean ready and hotel was clean as well. Close to downtown and its attractions, most within walking distance. Only downsides to the hotel for me were: minimal parking and difficult to enter and small parking spaces high risk of someone dingin your doors. Also the bed had a bit of a dip and wasnt of the highest quality. Feather/Down pillows gave me allergies. Room was semi small. My sleep wasnt great. Girlfriend slept fine though. That was about it for the negatives. For the price point it was worth it although I probably wont go again due to the pillows and bed.

Stayed in Hotel 5 during July 2012. Very pleasant stay with a very friendly check-in. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. My only negative is that on the morning of our check out, one of the lifts had been closed for routine maintenance. We had to wait 20 mins for a lift as did other guests. We we heading to gets a train to the airport so a stressful start to our day. Seems a bit daft to service lifts at peak period but all in all this is a great hotel situated centrally between downtown , Seattle Centre and Pikes Market.

The best aspect of Hotel Five is the location. We literally took the West Link rail from Sea-Tac right to Westlink station, got off and walked maybe ten minutes to our hotel. )Cost was only ($5.75 for the both of us) Given my boyfriend and are are pretty athletic and we travel light- me with a back-pack and he with one big Nike gym bag-nevertheless we made it comfortably to our hotel. Additionally, we were in the center of all the tourist attractions. We walked about ten minutes to the Space Needle, the EMP museum, and Pikes Place, the Westlake shopping area as well as the Pier. When the snow set in our front desk clerk had great recommendations for where to order take out. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations but the rooms that are done are great. The noise in the morning was a bit loud- not ideal for sleeping in but bearable the walls were very thin however. The design is very modern. Loved the rain shower head but the overall shower was a bit small, and the bed was hard and left a lot to be desired as the sheets were also crisp and not soft. Overall, a very great priced hotel located in the center of all the great attractions Seattle has to offer. Able to overlook the small shower and lack of bath tub. If you go check out Top Pot Doughnuts right next door.

Although I did not realize the hotel was undergoing remodeling at the time I booked, it was actually no problem. All the guests were in rooms above the construction and the staff and trades people were very courteous and considerate of the situation. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay once again at Hotel FIVE.

I aboslutely love staying at hotel 5! The staff are always friendly, the location suits me great - its a little out of the way from the hustle of seattle but still within walking distance of everything. The rooms are really spacious too.

They didn't specify on cheap tickets the 15$ daily parking fees and the 20$ "variable liability charge" per night. The hotel price was already steep for being eye level with a very busy and noisy monorail, the 35 extra shakes my willingness to reccomend them significantly. Also if you're not out of the room by the time housekeeping comes by at 7:30 you will have to ask them to revisit, which I felt was pretty lame. We had to ask the front desk all but one of the six days we stayed for vacation.

The exterior of the hotel is a little rough but it is nice on the inside. The room was small simple and clean which is exactly what I like but others may not. The immediately surrounding area was not terribly active, but roughly three blocks to the south or west put you in the middle of the action. It was a good experience for a single traveler. The rate was a tad bit pricy but it is downtown so that should be expected.

Loved the artsy decor, great service and staff, short walk to space needle, no need for a car, light rail is short distance (to and from airport - one way is $2.75 - total bargain). Seattle is amazing, great energy! The restaurant in the hotel has the best breakfast in all of Seattle with ginormous proportions! Two thumbs way up!!!!

Stayed for 3 nights. Neat place in not a bad location- super convenient to light rail, Space Needle, City Center, etc. Accommodations were very clean and not bad to look at. They were in the midst of remodeling from the standard Ramada look to something approaching their interpretation of an art/boutique hotel. They're doing a good job. We managed to walk everywhere (pioneer square to capitol hill) and the price was great. Might stay some place a little closer to Northern Seattle if you're not into the touristy stuff and want just the awesome urban experience but, yeah, I 'd stay here again.

I asked for a room away from the MonoRail, based on another [...]Customer's suggestion. My room was quiet, immacuately clean. The lobby and the room were decorated with color, style, everything was new and fresh! Friendly, helpful staff! Would have been nice to have room service evenings, but the restaurant is only open until 1:30... Other than that, everthing was great! Short walk to Pike Place Market, and plenty of other Seattle favorites! I will defnately return!

This was my first time in Seattle. At first, I wasn't sure about Hotel5 from the outside, but once inside, I was impressed with the decor. Staff very friendly, which is a big plus. They will help you with anything you need. Walking distance to everything. Thank you for the stay. Very cheek and cool.

Great spot for those willing to walk a mile OR LESS - to shopping, dining, attractions. Short drive to seattle center or downtown stores etc. But downtown parking can be expensive. Relatively quiet city neighborhood, Parking on site a BIG plus for us. Friendly helpful staff.
