centrally located, 5 mins from train station. Very friendly and helpful staff. I had a simple room but all you need even extras I didn't expect, like slippers. Breakfast also basic and you fetch everything from the buffet but you get enough and healthy stuff like fruit also.

Hotel located in the city centre, which was handy to train station & lake, but conversely was extremely difficult to get to by car - one way streets and lack of parking were a real nightmare. Staff were helpful & friendly. Breakfast was pretty average. Cost of hotel, like everything in Switzerland is expensive. Switzerland is a beautiful country, but the high cost of everything (hotels, fuel, meals, attractions) was a real sour note for our trip.

I was in Geneva on conference and stayed in the Excelsior. It is a clean room with basic facilities (no tea or coffee making facilities in the room). It is centrally located and has a shopping center next door. Getting around is easy with the free transport card. Staff are friendly. Easy to get to and from airport via bus or train.

Good: - clean hotel and rooms - nice location close to the lake and the central station Less good: - Rooms are poorly isolated against sound. - Breakfast is ok but could have a bit more variety.
