Very well-maintained. Everything looks brand new! I asked front desk and was told the hotel is a year old. A bit small but still comfortable. Would be great to have extra pillows.

Great location being opposite the main Otaru station, a short 10-20 min walk to almost everything. The hotel rooms are clean, modernly decorated. The rooms are a little small (double room fits mainly just the bed), but fine since you probably won't be in the hotel room for that long anyway.
