Good Hotel near Malpensa nice restaurant

A family-run hotel which provides an excellent level of service and is very convenient for Milan Malpensa airport. The pizza menu is unbelievable, with over 100 varieties available. Their festive meals, while not cheap, offer outstanding value for money. We were there for New Year 2009 and will be back. The hotel is also within easy reach of the Italian Lakes (Lake Como, Lake Maggiore etc.)

It´s a clean place, about 15 minutes away from Milan Malpensa Airport - but that´s it. Room size, furniture, amenities are definitely below a 4 star-standard. I would rate the hotel with 2,5 - 3 stars, not more. Location is VERY remote; they charge you 15 Euro for the airport shuttle service each way. Now, add these 30 Euro for both directions (from/to airport) to the hotel price - too expensive! I knew about these 30 Euro, but I wanted to stay close to the airport. It would have been ok, if the hotel would have been at a 4 star standard. But after having been there: it´s better to decide for a hotel in downtown Milan - a bus shuttle will take you for 7 Euro (oneway) from the airport into the city, which is already a cheaper transportation, plus you can find 3 star hotels for the same price and you are already in the city with plenty of places to go and restaurants to eat. I will not stay at Hotel Da Mariuccia again.

Really good for a stop over from Malpenza airport. Make sure of your directions to the hotel!

Very nice & quiet hotel. Truly friendly staff. Far from Milan centre, small rooms, but the gym was a nice surprice !
