Location
Convenient for visitors arriving by train, it is just a two minute walk from Geneva's main railway station and a short walk to the jetty where ferries cruise the lake. For guests interested in history the Parc des Bastions and the Reformation Wall are within walking distance on the opposite side of the lake.
Rooms
The Cristal's 70 rooms are clean and minimal, and all feature en suite bathroom, wireless Internet connection, air conditioning, and telephone with voicemail.
Restaurant
Breakfast is served in the hotel's restaurant. Guests can choose from a selection of fruit juices, tea, coffee, pastries, fresh fruit and cereals.
General
The Hotel is a good choice for visitors who want to stay in the centre of Geneva. There are many attractions such as the lake and the Jet d'Eau right on the doorstep and guests also have the option of using the fitness facilities and sauna of the Hotel Cornavin which is only one hundred and fifty meters away.

We were on a short overnight stay on our way to Copenhagen from Lausanne. This was a great hotel for a short stay - good location being almost at the doorstep of the train station, and a nice walk to Lake Geneva with convenient food and shopping nearby. It is a great hotel if you are planning to spend most of your day out sight-seeing/ shopping. The hotel is nicely and simply designed, comfortable and very well-located.

Loved how close this hotel was to everyhting, its cleanliness and the free transport card they grant you for the lenght of your stay; yet I have to say it all went well until we bumped into one scornful receptionist (did not have any badge with his name but was the one with indian traits) which was there most of our stay. He was very unprofessional in his treatment and responses from the beginning. We stayed four days and he seemed to be annoyed by every request ; he did not hesitate to show discontent and make ironic reproaches... if it wasn't for him we would have given the hotel a 5 star overall rating. Shame!

Designer rooms are small yet well arranged. TV panels could have been bigger. The only set back is no breakfast service.

It was very close to the train station - I bascially walked through the "metro shopping" area and it was there on the left corner as soon as I reached sunlight. EXCELLENT! Only about 15min walk down to Lake Geneva, where you can see Jet d'Eau in front of you. There are street signs everywhere that point you in the right direction of this hotel, which was great! The staff weren't as attentive as I had hoped and security in the main lobby was a little questionable - I left my suitcase in the "large baggage room" (which actually only had enough space for about 10 suitcases) but it didn't even lock and anyone could walk right in off the street, go in the room, and take it without the staff noticing. Other than that, the room was quaint and great for one student.

Great stay in Geneva! If you can't sleep with noise from the street take some ear plugs...
