Hotel had great location, but room was so smoky that it was suffocating ( we did not have a fire in the fireplace) toilette sounded like it was about to overflow, room had no coffee maker, even though it had coffee packs. The staff at the front desk, although pleasant, was clueless about recommendations for restaurants and for tours.

This was not a business traveler's hotel. Internet only available in the lobby, small bathrooms, difficult to park when checking in. For vacationers looking for a nice boutique hotel with excellent proximity to shopping via walking it would be great.

We were supposed to stay at the Hotel Chimayo one week ago today. When we arrived, we were told the hotel was overbooked, and were told a room had been found at another hotel in town. The desk clerk was not very helpful (actually gave us incorrect directions to the other hotel). This is very puzzling, because Orbitz already charged the room to our credit card, and we had paid it. So we were denied lodging at a hotel after we had prepaid for the two-night stay. Very disappointing. Getting this resolved through Orbitz has been frustrating. Hoping someone reads this and takes action to improve your processes. Would love to discuss in person with a respresentative of Orbitz.
