Hotel Chambord Brussels

This hotel is very well located and very accessible (the tube is virtually 2m from the entrance). Though it was pretty clean and comfortable, the hotel Receptionist on duty that day was extremely aggressive and unprofessional. When I came in to check-in I was expected to be asked my reservation reference but instead I was asked for my passport, which he photocopied. When I simply asked him the reason and whether my data will be shredded once I checkout, instead of giving the simple reason he immediately responded with an aggressive tone "that's the procedure!" I realise this is a cultural difference in language tonality however Customer Service is universal regardless. Having said that the hotel Manager earned his title and knows what he's doing. Nevertheless because of this incident I will not return to this hotel unless they train their staff on interpersonal skills.

In this case we really got what we paid for. A very small room at the very top of the hotel, tiny bathroom and that was about it. We didn't mind because we arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning but if you were staying longer it wouldn't be so nice. On the other hand the lobby was very nice, the breakfast was good (finally some real scrambled eggs) and we were lucky enough to score a park out the front of the hotel.

Rooms and public spaces are small but the location is excellent. The breakfast room is a pleasant surprise. The bedrooms still seem to be overheated and lack local control, as noted in previous reviews. At reduced prices, this is an excellent choice.

Although the heating is shut off, the central heating pipes to heat the hotel make the room too hot. the breakfast assortiment could improve.

The rooms facing the inner side are very clastrophobic. I asked them o change the first room that I stayed in, but this time they gave me exactly the same kind of room. and the reception staff were not really friendly.

Hotel is just beside Metro Stop (Port Namur), and is located in a nice area although nothing happening. But Grand Place is just few stops by Metro. Nice 3 start hotel-- basic facilities but clean, with very friendly staff, and generous breakfast.

The hotel is well located and convenient to visit the city. Buffet breakfast was good - cereal, breads, tinned fruit and eggs. Rooms were small and the decor was a bit dated, but clean and tidy. Overall good.

Excellent location and good value for the money paid. The hotel was most probably undergoing a renovation phase: the bathroom was looking good, but the interior of the room was rather old-fashioned (furniture, etc.).
