Hotel was what one can expect in Paris but with excellent service and at an excellent location, Internet is expensive, the plastic coated under pad was quite uncomfortable.

We had a great stay in Paris at Hotel Central St Germain. Its an excellent location near Notre Dame, Sorbonne and Jardin du Luxemburg. Hotel was extremely clean and quiet and nicely decorated. Great it had a lift. The only things were there were no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms or lobby, that would have really made the stay better. Also reception staff were pleasant but had very limited knowledge and offered basic help only. Still a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend to others, and definitely stay there again.

This hotel is close to St Michel Boulevarde and walking distance to the Seine, the Louvre and Musee d'Orsee. There are subway stations close by and a great choice of restaurants nearby

Hotel located just a few minutes walk from NotreDame and is well placed for seeing the usual tourist sights. If you arrive by metro St Michel is close enough to walk from. We found it rather expensive but this is probably because it is so close to all the sights. Reception staff were excellent. We just used the hotel for sleeping in - we didn't have any meals there so can't comment on those.

The bathroom was extremely small - if we had been anything other than slim people we would not have been able to squeeze between the wash basin and shower screen to access the shower/bath. The buffet breakfast was poor for 11 Euros - there were no croissants, there was only one variety of jam - fig - and the orange juice was obviously watered down. We had to ask constantly for more coffee to be provided and then there was never enough for those waiting. The only advantage to staying here is the location - it is perfectly placed for the Latin Quartier and St Germain.

Except for its good location, this hotel doesn't deserve the 3 stars rating it claims... Too small, uncomfortable bed, smelly towels...and I can go on and on.....

Excellent loaction and very clean hotel, I will definitely go again, although I would expected it a bit cheaper. Rooms were a bit small, stuff was very friendly but their English need improvent. We were given a twin bed instead of a double & never changed to a double although requested and promised we would be... The receptionist asked us very politely if we could stay for 1 night in the twin room and we agreed (we had no other option with luggage at hand) but the following day the 2nd shift receptionist told us that they could not do so as they were fully booked... Kitchen was not open at night contrary to what stated in the room's menu (no fridge or mini-bar in the room). Nevertheless it was a good hotel with descent breakfast and very close to the metro& RER station.

This is an excellent hotel. The location is perfect. The staff were very professional and helpful. I always try to stay at this hotel when in Paris and am disappointed when it is not available.

The facilities in the room were basic but adequate for our needs. The bathroom, particularly the shower, would have been appropriate to a higher rated hotel. Did miss tea and coffee making facilities.

The rooms were a little small but adequate. It would have been nice to have had a bar area or restaurant for lunch or supper. Staff were freindly and helpful.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at this hotel, which we selected on the internet. It's loction is ideal for the St Germain and St Michel areas of Paris and is about two blocks from the river. It is very close to a direct Metro link from Gare de Nord (Odeon station)Rooms were not huge but perfectly adequate, besides we spent very little time there other than to sleep. We felt the hotel offered very good, quiet accommodation, which represented great value for money
