Hotel Bonaparte by Rhombus Hong Kong Guest Reviews
We've booked a business room with Hotel Bonaparte by Rhombus on 11 Oct 2011 for our Nov 2011 family trip in Hong Kong. Yet when we arrive on 3 Nov 2011, we have been told by the hotel staff that they do not have a room for us as they have been fully booked. We are lost and have shown them the confirmation slip sent to us by customer care of Zuji.com, and the only reply from the hotel counter staff was " I do not know anything. We are full and no more rooms available for you." When we asked for their help to borrow internet / phone to make phone calls / to search for alternative solutions since it was already 10+ close to 11pm, to check with Zuji's customer service about this, they have suggested we paid HK$50/hour to use their internet services or have meal at their cafe in order to use their wifi. We are very upset, we do not have mood to eat, only want to settle our alternative hotel stay asap, as we are already very tired from the flight and just wanna find a place to rest. Before we left, they have recommended that we better book directly with them instead of via an agency to avoid such disappointment again in the future. Our immediate reply to them: " Not again with your hotel. Thank you."

the room is small but the location is walking distant away from HK time square

It is just 5 min walk to TimeSquare (Causeway Bay). Our friends was surprised to learn that but later found that though the address is WanChai, it is really much nearer to Causeway Bay MTR. The room is very small as expected but bed was as nice as any 4/5-star hotel. A big plus was that they gave us a Nokia mobile phone as "hotel phone". We can take it with us to make direct call and receive calls via hotel callcenter). All local calls are free. There are 3 PCs for surfing at hotel cafe so that's good too. So really no complaint at all... lots of praises. And yes, it is clean.

Room were too small for as compared with Walden Hotel @ Hennessey Road. The charges very also Very High if compare with Walden Hotel. For your information, i checked-in around 2.00pm and checked-out on the same day around 7.30pm as the room were too small for 2 person to breath!

Bonaparte = good! First, the rooms were very small, but that isn't so much a complaint as an observation. Considering its location and price, the size was exactly what we needed while touring. They gave us a couple free drink vouchers for downstairs and a cell phone to use while we were in Hong Kong which was great too. Everything was excellent at the Bonaparte except for the fact that we didn't have free internet in the rooms. We had to pay 70 to 100 Hong Kong Dollars to use it so we decided to go to a nearby internet cafe instead. All in all, it's a great place to base your travels from.
