hotel 81 is a chain of cheap hotels. geylang is an area full of sex workers and cafes. If this is what you want its great. Probably not the place to bring the family although it is not a rough area and the hotel is good for sleeping and a base to leave your things, the rooms are small with an adequate bathroom. Staff are all polite and helpful.

small room just right for single travelers, would recommend to friends the staff are very accomodating. what i miss is the free wifi, it should have been included om the amenities.

Beware, this hotel is definitely the 'hire by the hour' type of establishment! Bathroom was in a really bad state, mould-mould and more mould! It is a safe area considering it's slap bang in the middle of the red light district, however once the sun goes down it is very seedy. Internet is available but VERY expensive. Service from staff was not very forthcoming, even for booking taxi's so be sure to be pushy if you have to be.

A basic hotel in the centre of vibrant Geylang district. Hotel is clean and the staff are fantastic. Very helpful. No problem in recommending (no pool and no restaurant).

Staff of the hotel were very helpful n its not ideal 4 a family visit. overall the hotel is ideal 4 a single. all d facitilies were as stated on d website.
