This hotel does not deserve to be rated a 4 star. Hotel room was dirty, bathroom was not even cleaned, floors were dirty and vanity was also dirty, everything was dusty, sheets didnt seem like they were cleaned either, also no coffee maker in room. And there was a lot of noise coming from the elevators, The whole night all you heard was the elevators go up and elevators go down.

we have stayed at various locations at Lake tahoe and this was by far the worst ever, very very run down, rooms grubby and dirty, bugs in the beds, pool was nice but the life guards were kids who were just playing in the pool and not interested in their job. We were on a road trip and this was our last hotel and the worst I have ever stayed in. If you can get somewhere else, do. We are not fussy and had come there form Circus Circus in Vegas which I was dreading but compared to this that hotel was like 5*. Would not surprise me if this hotel was closing down.

Although the room was clean and the water hot that is about were the amenities ended. From peeling paint and wall paper to cigarette holes in the worn bed covering the accommodations at the Horizon are sorely lacking. Finding out after I returned from my workshop (late at night from the rude desk clerk) that they no longer have room service was the clincher though. I also called down for an extra towel and was told the staff was busy. p.s. Bring your own pillow unless you like sleeping on a brick.
