Homestead Houston Willowbrook Hotel

So how do you inform without putting on blast... well I have decided to say that the value of the Homesteads across this country have been great. The locations have been great values and I would probably recommend the brand until this recent incident. well the last time I stayed it here at Willowbrook which is close to the company I work for. I can accept being an older location and being "worn" but filth and diseased I honestly have to walk away from the whole brand. The local staff is great easy to get reservations and they are friendly and helpful but when I went to this room that had an odor so strong of something (it was supposed to be a none smoking room) that actually made it hard to breathe and burnt the back of my throat and lungs. That is the first of a few items.. Water damage in the bathroom where water worked its way behind a wall and it looked to break loose. I saw some mold. The filth in the grout in the shower and bathroom should have had some attention and cleaned. In today's day and age I know that there are a million grocery products on the shelf that are meant to clean and kill the bacteria on the tile and in the grout. I am just saying....Anyway fixture holders all over the walls where pictures and mirrors were once hanging. Holes in wall exposing either a bullet or a screw. But to top it all off? What I think looked like fecal matter in the bathroom up over the light bar. You know I had to leave. The staff got me to the Homestead in the Galleria which is another 30-45 minutes on a good day from my work. Not cool but the company already paid for it and I did not have alot of options. Being poor broke and ugly does not have its advantages *wink* like an American Express card. Anyway they got me to a GREAT location for a $30 more I think but farther from where I wanted to be. Again I expect a older facility to have its issues but filth has a solution. What really turned me off from the company though is that the manager was aware of this and no one reached out to apologize or anything. I communicated to Homestead via their website and no communication and I actually called corporate and left a vm with Linda G. Wiley, Vice President, Guest Relations... nothing.... what would you do? I posted the photos on Photobucket ...see : http://photobucket.com/HomeSteadWillowBrook .... for them to review what I saw and nothing.. sad huh? Save yourself and look for other places to stay. The fact that they cannot communicate within a 24 hour period after reporting the issue is sad customer service and do not deserve to earn our money. Sad too I actually liked the brand and the locations I have stayed at.
