The hotel is fine. Your price is directly related to your view. We paid Oorbits price and got an Oorbits view (Roof Fans). Location is great, just across the street from the beach and in the middle of the shopping madness. The pool area is kind of a bummer. It is run by the Jimmy Buffet restaurant bar and the whole pool area shuts down at 6. If you are not eating or drinking be prepared to get hassled. No place to hang out with family and play games or cards.

We could see little ocean from our room. The room was clean and comfortable, but service was less than average. I asked staff to fix our toilet, but no one came. Valet parking is $30 per day. It is pretty expensive.

Hotel was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities and amenities are well maintained and updated. It exceeded our expectations. Rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. Comes with free wifi which has a very good reception inside the room. Location of this hotel is just perfect. Price is just right, not cheap and not expensive either. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all.

Our rooms on the 4th floor overlooking the rooftop of the lower building of the hotel and displayed the lovely view and sounds of the hotel venting systems. After a second night of not being able to sleep (due to the loud noises from the venting system) we upgraded to the 17th floor with partial ocean and city views. This was well worth the $20/night additional charge. The hotel accomodations were excellent. The one complaint and annoyance was that you had to have a room key in order to input your room floor in the elevator. I found myself traveling up and down the elevator passing the 17th floor due to either not putting the key in correctly or in not enough time. Ice machines were not located on each floor requiring you to again travel on the elevator and fight with the key thing to get ice. Additionally, each member of our party was required to carry a room key in order to pass security and enter the elevator. Security was relatively strict - in particular, towards our twenty plus years old. Even when with us (their parents) they were questioned by hotel security and reprimaded for not having a hotel key on their person. The security people were not friendly by any means.

Hotel itself is right off the main street however, even though you may have reservations at the hotel it still will cost you $30.00 a day to have your car parked on site. Bathrooms are really small with a shower and toilet. You have a safe and a small fridge in the room which helped since we found a walmart and bought soda and water and sandwich items for the beach. Beware if you leave anything out I found that nice bugs would show up, which is not uncommon for the tropics. Pool is very small and it's right outside Jimmy Buffet Restaurant. Staff was great helping in any way they could to make things right. You can get towels to take to the beach from poolside and they give you a cinch bag upon check in. Very expensive for eating out even places like McDonalds and I-Hop. Though the fast food establishments are cheaper than resturanuts. Sometimes the International Market Place food court has some really good deals with the Farmers Market coming once a week. They offer also meals which were really reasonable and fed the entire family for half the cost!!

I've been to Hawaii 14 times already. All of the hotels do not compare to this one. It is very clean, and the employees who work there are very nice and helpful. It's in an awesome location, right across the street from the beach and the very famous Cheesecake Factory, and right next to the International Market Place.

Overall this was a nice stay - the hotel is well located on Waikiki a few blocks from the beach. The hotel itself is nothing special, though the balconies offer some nice views if you choose to pay the extra for it

The Beachcomber is now part of the Holiday Inn Chain, not Ohana. There were 10 of us so we had 5 rooms. We were on 23rd floor great views. The best beds and pillows I have ever had when travelling. Service for the rooms was great, location fantastic, reception service always very obliging and helpful. Great cocktails by the pool. Had a great 11 days would stay there again. HotelClub was also a great way to book and organise trip by internet everything went very smoothly.

The hotel is on the main street and very handy to Waikiki Beach, much cheaper than a beach front hotel with the same views. We were on the 23rd floor with great ocean and beach views; however there was a lot of noise especially in the early hours of the morning with trucks delivering goods to all the hotels along the strip. The rooms could do with double glazing. It would also have been nice if they had provided dressing gowns. Other than that the facilities and room were ideal. Also had free internet access. If you want to go to the nightly show in the hotel just don’t go for the food option, very poor quality and expensive, but the show was fine.

Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to a friend - what more can we say than that! A room with a sea view is worth the extra cost.

Great hotel, terrific location and a fantastic view. Would definitely stay there again on our next visit. The only disappointment was that we could not gain access to our room until 2.30pm, even though the hotel was aware we would be of arriving mid morning.

Great location, next to Macys and across road from Cheese Cake Factory. Hotel gives you free pass on trolley, pick up across road, to Ala Moana Shopping Centre where you can transfer to any bus which costs $2.25 even for an around the island trip. $5 Waikele Outlets shuttle can be picked up in Lewers St outside DFS. Great bar below international markets. Hotel is older but has laundry and you cannot beat location. Clean and comfortable.
