This time quite average. Fridge were not working upon arrival, got a new one later. Poor light in bathroom, (1 bulb blew in the morning). Doublemadrass in bed towards window was extremely soft, me and my wife 135 kg. together felt we were sleeping in a fan, tight together sort of. Hole left for eventual fitting in bathroom ? Staff extremely nice however.

Reception staff a great help, room terrific, location perfect, walked everywhere including to the Magnetic Is ferry, only 15min away. Nice bar, we didn't eat there so can't comment on that.

RIGHT OPPOSITE LEAGUES CLUB,CHECKIN WAS A BREEZE. THE ROOM WAS QUITE ACCEPTABLE. ASKED AFTER THE FIRST NIGHT FOR SOFTER AND THINER PILLOWS AND RECEIVED FIVE ASSORTED,FANTASIC.NO PARKING ONSITE BUT WAS OFFERED SPACE IN A CARPARK BEHIND THAT THEY HAVE SPACE IN. GREAT UNTIL TRYING TO GET CAR OUT AND HOTEL SLUGS YOU $10/NIGHT. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN OK IF WAS TOLD AT CHECKIN. ROOF TOP POOL AND SUNNING AREA LOOKED GREAT.B'FAST WAS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT-COFFEE MACHINE MADE TERRIBLE COFFEE NOT GOOD TASTE AND LUKE WARM.HOT BUFFET FOOD WAS LUKE WARM, BACON LIKE LEATHER EGGS WAY OVER COOKED ETC. WHEN WE WERE THERE NOT VERY BUSY FOR B;FAST, NO WONDER. HEAD COOK AND MANAGEMENT NEED TO LIFT THEIR GAME IN THIS AREA...

Being a frequent business traveller to Townsville I have stayed in a number of various hotels including the Holiday Inn. On previous visits I found the hotel to be very outdated and somehwat overpriced. On my most recent visit however the hotel had undergone a major renovation. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable and the price was excellent. Keep up the good work.

This hotel has recently been refurbished and it is a significant improvement. Bed was very comfortable and well appointed.
