Holiday Inn Laurel West I-95 / RT 198W Guest Reviews
The staff were helpful and dealt with any problems I had. I would recommend making sure your room is NOT over a ballroom. I was there pre-holiday, but ended up having to change rooms when the weekend parties and seminars began. With two kids that was a hassle, but we could not have stayed in that room any longer. I appreciate the staff providing breakfast the remainder of the stay for our inconvenience. When it comes to daily care for the room, I can't speak tt that, I left the do not disturb sign up for 7 days and sought out assistance when we needed towels, etc. I just prefer people not be in my room while I am staying there, and my request was honored. Overall, it was your basic hotel experience, however the kids did love the indoor pool. Next time I will opt to stay closer to DC, or at the very least pick something nearer to the metro line for easier commuting. I fell in love with all there is to do there...and fyi...do not miss Gettysburg, it is only a little over an hour from the hotel!

All of the staff were nice except the mgr had no ID on her nor jacket. We had 6+ firetrucks & the gas co come for over 2 hrs. due to a "SMELL" that several of us smelled. We have a baby & safety comes 1st! She didn't go to sleep until 10:30 throwing off her schedule. The maid forgot our trash (out of the can) but on the desk. The elevator was jammed 2x & almost took off a guys fingers in front of his son! The door didn't completely shut. There's no COMP breakfast here the pool was nice but the lifeguard was texting & on the laptop every time I walked by, I understand if there's no one in the pool, but that wasn't the case! Kids were running around until after 9 PM & teh staff did nothing to correct it, all in all, go somewhere less inexpensive!

I have used this hotel three times in the past year. It is the closest hotel to my parents and quite nice. However I am struggling to recommend it going forward due to a few concerns: 1) The hotel is attached to a Outback Steakhouse, so during resturant operational hours there is not a lot of good options for parking. 2) They charge for a breakfast buffet that is not any different in quality from what you get for free at hotels for half their cost. 3) This last visit the room next to us held a loud party until 3am. I heard at least 8 unquie voices all shouting and smelled the stench of pot on 4 different occassions waifing up through the shared door. We called hotel staff and the first time they sent a rep up who knocked on the door, told them to quiet down, then left. The second time we called the hotel staff they did not even come back up, they just called. After that I smelled fabreeze being sprayed everywhere. On the third call I confirmed the room was a single king bed, was only rented to two people, and that if more were there they should be kicked out (2:30am). Yet nothing was done. If the staff are not able to deal with problems like this, I can't see why I should keep coming back.

We were just passing through and we decided to book at this hotel. It was nice because their was an Outback Steakhouse right next to the hotel. I enjoyed most the bed in the room. It was sooo comfortable. I would stay there again!
