I chose this hotel for its proximity to LaGuardia and the NYC subway. Unfortunately all of that was overshadowed by poor customer service after we checked out. I had forgotten my electric razor charger in the bathroom. My wife called to secure it with her name and room number with instructions that we would pick it up in a few days after returning. When we did they showed us a basket full of chargers and asked us if we recognized it. Really?!?!?! After spending our time and money at your hotel you don't have the courtesy or common sense to label chargers or other items to facilitate retrieval? I guess not. That's why you're a below average hotel. Period.

nothing really special, but an easy to metro and corona park. May not be a super great neighborhood, but not bad either.

The hotel is clean and safe (even for NYC), and the staff is very helpful. However, the room rate is a little pricey. There is garage parking on the premises for hotel guests for $8 a night, which is very reasonable for NYC. I assume they're making up the difference on the room rate. It's a few hundred yards walk to the 7 elevator train, which is a 20 minute ride to Manhattan.

We arrived there in the afternoon and ate dinner there. We thought that the portions were huge so thus a decent value considering the price. The rooms were average. We liked that each bed was divided into firm and soft sides so that I did not fight with my spouse. However, the bathroom was dirty and lacked a fan. That made the ceiling moldy. Also, the air conditioning was not powerful enough to combat the really warm (100 degree) weather. That made it difficult to sleep at night. In addition, the walls were thin. We could hear every scream in the hallway.
