Holiday Inn Krakow City Centre

The hotel is near to the market square and Wawel Castle. However, the bed is a bit too soft for my back, but my friend loved it.

This hotel was very convenient...we walked all over Krakow using it as our base, stopping back in mid afternoon to warm up.

This hotel is perfectly located between the old town and Kazimierz neighborhoods. It's an easy walk to any of the main attractions. The room was very large, especially by European standards, clean, and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was one of the more expensive hotels when I searched, but a great value for the location and quality of the room.

Good hotel, just 5 minutes' walk from the Town Square. Breakfasts a little pricey, but it's a good selection, with good service, and, unlike some other hotels locally, it has its own restaurant. We'd certainly stay again.

The location is really convenient. I can walk to the Old Town, the Jewish quarter and even to the Oskar Schindler Museusm (takes more than 30 min but quite doable if you are fit). The restaurant and bar are a bit expensive but the cooking is OK and the service is very good. Instead of paying for the high priced breakfast I went across street to have the buffet breakfast at the small hotel there for 22 ZLY. My room is quite large and nice although it faces the courtyard. I might have been given a better room since I am a member of the Priority Club. Cost nothing to join and I was given a late check-out.

The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the old town main square. The service was excellent and the personnel was very polite, very willing to please the customer (e.g. change of room) and be of assistance, particularly regarding recommendations for bars and restaurants, regardless if they said that on Catholic Easter Sunday all restaurants and bars would closed, while this was far from accurate. However, bathroom toiletries could be fancier or of a known brand as is the case in other five star hotels (e.g. the "SOFITEL" in Budapest) and breakfast could be infinitely better, since coffee reminded me of the beverage sold as such during the previous regime, croissants and cake were obviously old let alone tasteless, while the bread toaster must have seen better days. Generally, a good hotel, but because of the above I think they merit one star less, because when you pay five star hotel prices you do not make such allowances.
