Air Conditioning in the room would not go down below 19c, it was the same throughout the hotel - very hot

I was a little apprehensive at first about this hotel after reviewing other comments, but once checked-in those concerns disappeared. The hotel is situated right in the middle of all the attractions and commands wonderful views over the Plymouth Sound. Given the parking situation in Plymouth the underground car park was most useful and cheap. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and are very personable. The bar facilities are good and the prices won't break your budget. The hotel offers a great and well appreciated spa facilities. The restaurant provides good food, substantial breakfasts and breathtaking views. But the real surprise was the bedrooms. Mine and indeed most seem to be sizable, very clean and bright. This hotel is well recommended by me and I would definitely stay again.

Staff on reception very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and tidy, decor not brilliant (garish carpets in halls and lifts) but was generally clean. Bar service upstairs ok. Did not eat in restaurant, use pool or drink in lobby bar so cannot comment. Parking VERY tight for anything larger than a medium hatchback but great that it was on site just under the hotel. Pleased with stay and would return.

A bit tatty and worn, probably about due for refurbishment.
