Perfect spot just a block from Bourbon Street with easy access to the French Quarter. It's a beautifully restored building with lots of character. Staff is great.

First time to New Orleans - this hotel was in excellent location to the Bourbon Street (not noisey) and in easy walking distance to transport. Staff were friendly and helpful and conceirge provided some excellent tips of places to watch jazz and drink. Negative - pillows were the size of lounge cushions

This trip had been planned as a four day weekend getaway for three friends. One of my friends had never been to New Orleans before and was very excited about staying at a hotel in the French Quarter. Due to several flight delays we did not arrive in New Orleans until Friday, 11/11/11, at 6:30 p.m. Each time our flight was delayed I called a Cheap Tickets representative and the hotel to let them know what was happening . On Friday, United Airlines overbooked our morning flight out of Washington Dulles airport, and we were refused seats. They offered us a later flight in the afternoon to take us to New Orleans. I called Cheap Tickets and the hotel to let them know we would be checking in after 7:00 p.m. I was assured that everything was fine and they would be expecting us for a late check in. My brother called the hotel at 6:00 p.m. to order champagne and flowers for our arrival and was told by the concierge that the items had been placed in our room and everything was ready for our arrival. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 7:30 p.m. and several friends and family members greeted us in the lobby. I went to the front desk to check in and was told that our reservation had been cancelled and our room was gone. We were told that there were no other rooms available and no offer was made to help with other arrangements. As it was Veteran's Day weekend all other area hotels were booked and we were essentially stranded. A staff member pulled me aside and said they had known we were coming , however the manager "Todd" had cancelled our reservation and given our room to the highest bidder. "Todd" never made an appearance or explained himself to us. One of my family members located a room at the Hyatt and we left to check in there. We had to pay $1500.00 out of pocket for the room. Again, this was a trip that had been booked and paid for back in Septemeber. I travel often, both domestic and international trips, and have NEVER had an experience like this. Our short vacation was completely ruined due to the callous treatment and poor customer service we received by management at the Holiday Inn Chateau LeMoyne
