We stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night in late October during a TERRIBLE storm. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The door was, unfortunately, quite thin.

Our room was small but hey, it's New York. Our first floor room had the disadvantage of facing the street, which is shared by warehouses of some kind.. and beeping trucks greeted us starting at 4 am. And then breakfast started being set up at five something. The amount of banging and loud talking in the hall/breakfast area made us think there was a fight outside our room. I travel with earplugs and used them, but one of my roommates was kept up by the vibrations and banging of the breakfast setup through the wall at our heads. The staff was lovely but the sleep was not. The price was right but if you need a good night's sleep, consider a different area.

i booked a standard size king room, but at time of check in i guess they didnt have enough rooms cleaned (i did not try to check in early). i ended up with a queen, and i believe it was a disabled-friendly room. the shower had no divider so the water spilled out on the floor, the sink was low and water splashed all over the floor, the shower head was half height, etc. other than that, it was what i expected from a brooklyn hotel. nothing too fancy, small rooms...but it's nyc- what i expect.
