I spent a couple of nights in Scandinavia after a two-week business trip. Stockholm was my first stop and I enjoyed both the city and the hotel immensely. The included breakfast was excellent--the variety and quality was top notch. The only downer was the hotel's signage... Even though the hotel is right across the train station, between the rain (it was pouring the night I checked in) and lack of sign (maybe it was due to the in-progress repainting?), I had a minor chore trying to locate the property. But it worked itself out pretty quickly. Stockholm's Gamla Stan (old town) is very picturesque and deserves more time than I had this time. I'll be back.

The hotel is in a very convenient spot close to the metro station.

Very much a 'business' hotel but quite acceptable. Friendly, pleasant staff. Hotel generally rather warm, particularly the rooms which are on the small side even for a city centre location.

We stayed in room 2206. We found the elevator to be Extremely slow - alternatively we would have appreciated to be able to use the stairs. Besides this, we had a wonderful stay at a very reasonable price (-50% January offer), and we will probably pick this hotel again for our next stay in Stockholm.

Very central location with easy access to Gamla Stan. Nice, large and varied breakfast choice. Unless you get a room with a view over the harbour (we didn't), the view is rather dull and uninspiring, and the standard double room is slightly small, but the facilities in the room are generally up to standard. Could have done with some more storage space though. Excellent value for money. We paid around DKK 620,- per night (approx. GBP 73) for a double room breakfast inclusive (special summer offer). Staff generally very friendly and helpful. The valet car park well organised but rather expensive (SEK 375 per 24 hours). Public car park at Medborgarplatsen 6 minutes walk due north of the hotel costs SEK 190 per 24 hours. There is also another public car park close by just behind Katarina Hissen (the tall tower with a lift at the seafront east of the hotel). If you arrive by car the one way system and general road lay out can be rather confusing, even when using a GPS.
