Hilton Paddington Hotel London
4 out of 5

I've stayed here twice in one week so I was in more than one room. It's a large hotel and the experience was consistent on both visits; rooms are clean, comfortable and feel 'new' despite being in an older building. The hotel is literally connected to Paddington station which has food, stores, and TWO different stops on the Tube (subway) so you can go nearly anywhere without walking far. Best of all, it's CHEAP compared to an equivalent hotel around central London with 'american' sized beds and bathrooms. would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very handy if you have to catch a flight since it's in Paddington Station. You can just walk to the Heathrow Express in a couple of minutes. I have stayed at this hotel before and it's getting a little tired. The mattress has seen better days. The rooms are large which is rare for London but the neighborhood is very touristy and it makes you feel as if you could be anywhere. I wouldn't stay more than a couple of days at this hotel.

Great to be able to get off the train and take a lift to the hotel, but the price is high and my room was flooded with stagnant water when I arrived that apparently no one knew about (which seems hard to believe).

From checking in to, to checking out, the whole experience was superb with friendly and accommodating staff, a clean and spacious room with modern facilities, and a good selection of channels on the TV. Perfectly situated directly opposite the Paddington Underground and adjacent to Paddington Train station, getting around was a breeze. The breakfast service was also excellent-a fantastic array of food for all tastes and dietary requirements. One thing that I thought was nice, was that upon entering our room, there was a little box of complimentary chocolate truffles and bottles of water waiting for us on the desk. How nice! It's that little bit of extra thought and giving the customer something back that really makes the difference, especially when some hotels just try and rinse you for all that they can. Overall, more than satisfied, and would have no hesitation about staying there again in the future.

Quick and efficient check-in and a clean, well-furnished room. I had a fairly early flight from Heathrow and as the hotel is adjacent to Paddington Station, this made for a quick and easy transfer by Heathrow Express (40 minutes Hotel Lobby to Terminal 5). Good to stay in London, rather than at the Airport, as you then have access to a much bigger and better range of Pubs and Restaurants.

Room includes breakfast, but starts late - at 6.30 am - and so it is a waste if, like me, you need to catch an early flight from Heathrow.

Hotel very comfortable. Lounge bar very pricey, Steam bar apparently more reasonable. Full English breakfast not included in nightly fee. Cost £19.80 per person - definitely not worth the money! Fried breakfast very greasy and not very hot. Waiters were very amiable and friendly, but did not detract from the fact that we felt we were fleeced, particularly if you went into the station there's a pub called The Mad Bishop & the Bear that have extremely cheaply priced food. Didn't eat there , but can't be as unreasonable as the hotel.

For the price I did not get value. The room was very small and pokey, really really really far from the elevators and with a few steps that you needed to drag luggage across. No restaurants to speak of. Housekeeping was low, but because one day the housekeeper decided to ignore me, they compensated by dropping a package for me in the city. They could do better TV for the money charged, not even MTV for Chrissakes.Although the staff were all very sweet, the quality is DEFINITELY not 4 star deluxe, but you cant beat the convenience of coming off the Heathrow express and not having to deal with the steps in various stations trying to get to your (probably better) hotel. Just take the elevator up to the hotel. Brilliant. I did have a better experience in November, my room was closer to the elevators not all the way at the tail end of eastbourne terrace, and also it was a well spaced room.

For the price and the name i associated a lot more, but then that may be because i am used to the superlative service and value in Dubai Hotels. i mean not even a music channel???? not that i needed it but i was very surprised to see guests struggling with luggage trying to get to the elevators. no one explained the services when i checked in.

Main attraction is the location, especially if using Heathrow airport. Otherwise very average. My de-luxe double I would rate as average standard level. Poor value for the money I paid.

Although this was cheap and nice hotel i was not happy with the service of reception staff - i explained that they were not to send me any information - what do they do? Yes. So when i complained they went and done it again. So if you are looking for discretion - that is not the place to go!

We stayed in the hotel for two nights. It is a lovely hotel. The room was very trendy and clean. There was a lot of choice for breakfast. The location is fantastic as the tube station is just outside the door.

Clean, comfortable and quiet with one of the best breakfast of any hotel. I will always remember the porridge with whiskey as a fantastic start to a sharp English morning.
