Hilton Grosvenor Hotel Edinburgh

Everything is considered for you! Very Clean indeed! Yet the location is beyond walking distance to either city center or the castle. Anyway, bus ticket is relatively cheap and 3,33 can take you to North bridge where you can walk to the castle. 25, 26 can take you to the mall. Would recommand to anyone.

Great executive room, excellent food, very friendly & helpful staff, everything required for a good stay. I would definitely recommend it to others.

My actual stay was in the Club house not the main hotel. It is the older part of the hotel and as such it is described as "traditional". It was basic if a bit tired, but clean and comfortable. The best thing is that it is a bit of rabbit warren of rooms, with stairs and corridors all over the place. There is lift though for those who need it.

Very friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble, the breakfast was excellent, and the evening meal was also very tasty and good value for money. Overall, a most enjoyable stay.

Building is a poor reflection of Hilton reputation.Very down at heel and the appearance of a mouse in our room on Saturday evening was shocking to say the least!!!.The staff on duty were excellent and very helpful but despite the cost of the weekend stay, facilities were very poor.Given its superb location in Edinburgh a lot more could be done to develop this site to meet its potential worth.

Room stunk of cigarettes. Large room and good facilities in room but bathroom layout not so good. (shower over bath with curtain along one side meaning that the toilet got all wet.)

Great place if you enjoy the whole world outside being able to watch you in the toilet/bathroom. No blinds, no curtains just a thin net on a 4' wide by 10' high window.....and that's their idea of deluxe!!!

The room is very spacey and cosy indeed. Really like the atmosphere.

Room was sufficient for our needs, however for the price it was a bit of a disappointment. Bathroom was smelly and due an upgrade and the beds were on the verge of collapsing. The hotel itself was good, only the room that was a bit of a let down.

If you want a hotel within easy reach of Princes Street, The Castle etc, this is great. Five minutes walk takes you to Princes Street, Rose Street etc. We would go back.
