Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City Downtown Guest Reviews
The hotel is beautiful, the room was very clean and quiet, pool was a little cold but the spa was nice. Great location, easy to find. Customer service was wonderful. Will stay again!

The room was spacious enough to comfortably fit my family of 6. A huge plus was the indoor pool being open 24 hours - a great place for the kids to use up the rest of a day without being cut short by a closing time. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the service was great.

During recent trip to America & Canada this hotel was the best. Excellent value for money, staff friendly and helpful. We could not fault the hotel on anything.

We have stayed here several times, as a family & as a couple. They have a decent breakfast buffet every morning - which costs like $10 but is worth it. The rooms are very clean, updated in design and aren't the nasty old comforters from back in the day. We always have a car, but there are places to get food within walking distance (a block or 2). The front desk is friendly and usually offers cookies & fruit throughout the day. Other than the big fancy Grand America 5-star resort type hotel, this hotel is ALWAYS what I try to get into when I visit Salt Lake.

Nice looking hotel with good amenities and a great price. I walked in and was greeted cheerfully, checked in quickly and painlessly. Rooms are nice and well appointed, nothing super exciting but very comfortable. After walking around and realizing no eating places were open, I was forced to order room service. Unfortunately, my room did not contain the little notebook with menus and such. Furthermore, the phone would not dial those internal speed dial numbers. After calling the front desk from my cell phone and walking to the front desk for a menu, I ordered the california grilled chicken salad or something like that - it was supposed to come with bread - no bread was provided. The salad itself was not that great. The dressing was way way way too sweet, the chicken tasted like it had been sitting for hours, and it was just very average for something that cost me $20. Comfortable beds, flat screen TVS... The next morning when I tried to dry my hair to go to my work meeting, well, the hairdryer didn't work. I went to the front desk to tell them and she gave me attitude... I mean come on the hairdryer should work. Maintenance brought a hairdryer quickly so I appreciated that. How hard is it to have a hairdryer that works? I stayed another night and still no notebook in my room with information but I had gone out to dinner with people at work. Overall nice place but annoying inconveniences that weren't fixed, as well as below average food bring a 4-4.5 star review down to 2. I'll stay there again as the price cannot be beat but I just hope that they fix those issues.
