Hilton Barbados Hotel Guest Reviews
This was my third time in Barbados. I got to the hotel to find that they did not have the room I pre paid for available. Most hotels would upgrade you for the night, but they instead downgraded my room and wouldn't refund the difference in price! They did eventually move me to the executive suite I paid for the following night, but very poor customer service. Although the hotel grounds were beautiful, the hotel is not close to anything. You need a car to get around, or you'll have to pay high taxi prices as an alternative. The service was consistently slow with the exception of the lunch staff at the lighthouse restaurant. They were wonderful and attentive...the food was pricey and just 'average'. There are many great places to eat on the island so I would suggest checking them out as an alternative. The worst thing about the hotel was the room cleanliness. They did not change the sheets on the bed AT ALL during the entire 7 day stay! There was lipstick on the sheets (i do not wear or own lipstick) and even after requesting they change the sheet I came back in the evening to find the same sheets only they 'flipped them another way hoping I wouldn't notice perhaps? We had to ask for shampoo/conditioner etc daily because they wouldn't restock it...we had no toilet paper at one point! Overall, I would not stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Hilton Barbados is a top quality resort. The rooms are very comfortable & well appointed, the location is superb with sea views on three sides and a wonderful private beach, facilities are excellent and the team at the Hilton are super friendly & helpful. You certainly pay for the privilege though. I understand food is expensive throughout the island, by UK standards, but a meal at the hotel is likely to set you back £75+ a head without a drink. And I still don't understand top hotels gouging over £10 a day for internet access, which is profiteering on a fixed asset with no marginal costs, especially when the rooms are top price anyway.

My husband and I thought the hotel was very nice. The lobby and the pools were beautiful. Everything was very clean. The view from our room was amazing. The beach was breathtaking. The only complaint we had were the birds. We sat outside for breakfast the first day we were there and had a hard time eating our food. The birds would fly around us and jump on our table to get to our food.
