Very good, quiet clean, well serviced rooms and good basic breakfast. Would book there again. Dead centre of Cairns CBD.

On the first night there was so much noise comming from the street below our room (traffic, loud music, yelling and screaming) that by 2.00am we had to request another room. The night staff were relucent to give us another room but did so when I insisted. The other room was better but outside noises could still be heard at different times.

reception fast and friendly. Queen room clean and comfortable, code security to entrance in evening, new flat screen t.v. good continental Breakfast on upstairs verandah overlooking street, I walked to and from rail station. will stay again as ''Hides'' is so convenient.

Dried blood on the mattress and loud drunks in the street outside until 4am (at least). I expected the latter, anyway.
