Very friendly and helpful staff but not in a convenient location for rail travellers.

Bit of a musty smell in the room on arrival, the heating was full on. OK once heating turned down and the room was aired. Comfortable and clean enough. Full rates too expensive, £55 on Rates to Go I paid was reasonable, but the location accounts for the cost.

The Heworth Court Hotel was in a perfect location for York city centre and all the sights. Well within walking distance - probably 20 mins max. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself, albeit abit 'fussy' in decor was very very clean and tidy.

This is a very classy B & B. It's expensive but most accomodation in York is. The chandelier and numerous cushions were a bit over the top.
