Location
The Herbert Park Dublin Hotel is well served by public transport links at Heuston Station and Connolly Station, and Lansdowne Road Station is nearby where visitors can take the DART into central Dublin. In our opinion this is the best located hotel in Dublin. You have the enterence to the RDS arena at the gate of the hotel. Turn to the right as you go out the main door and you step into Herbert Park, which is a beautiful park for a very plesant walk. There is a very good public bus service from Ballsbridge and then you have an a good train service with in a 10 minute walk. All in all The Herbert Park Hotel is the place to stay.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and have always come away with a feeling of having had a good experience.This is largely due to the friendliness and professionalism of the various staff members with whom we came in contact. The food in the restaurant was most acceptable both in range and taste on our most recent visit and the restaurant staff were most pleasant.The hotel location adjacent to the trees , grass and ornamental ponds of Herbert Park sets it in natural surroundings despite it being in the city and allows easy access to a pleasant walking facility.For those who come by car the free and very easily accessible basement car park represents a bonus.If there is one shortcoming it is the absence of a tea making facility in the bedrooms.However the plus factors well outweigh this one negative.

Ideal hotel if attending a concert in the RDS. Otherwise a bit out of town from the city centre. Ballsbridge is a nice area with some bars and very nice restaurants. Most of the embassys and embassodors residences are there. Got a great rate from [your website]. Request a room to the front or side but not the rear as the air conditioning units for the hotel are at the back and were noisy. Lovely breakfast in dining room looking out on Herbert Park. Will always return here for concerts.

if your going to the RDS for a show or simular the location is perfect

Restaurant food and service highly commendable.Location on parkland very attractive and in a pleasant,quiet area .However not within easy walking distance of main shopping areas of the city but these can readily be accessed by bus ,train or taxi.Very convenient to RDS Showgrounds and to Landsdown Road Rugby/football grounds. All in all a stay at the HPH is a pleasant experience.
