More like a motel than a hotel but good location for visiting the glaciers.

This motel was designed and built a long time ago, is made of weatherboard and lacks modern features. One wing appears dedicated to tour groups while the other wing is allocated to individual travellers but has a noisey bar & bistro next door and inadequate guest parking.

The rooms could do with a paint and in the 2 rooms we had the mirrors were old and peeling on the back. For the price of the rooms they could at least replace the mirrors. The people/service however was excellent

The hotel was very old and run-down expensive for the quality of the room.

The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. But the cleanliness was terrible. Friends staying in another room had blood stains on their quilt cover. The good thing is they changed it straight away when we asked them. Breakfast was not good at all. Location was good if you want to be next to Fix Glacier (instead of Franz Josef) but overall very over priced. I would probably try somewhere else next time.
