Hanoi Silver Hotel Guest Reviews
Dont be fooled by the pretty pictures on the website. Stayed there for 3 nights in a Deluxe room. The room was very small with no windows and very run down in need of refurbishment. Mould on bathroom ceiling etc. Based on the room supplied I'd rate it a 1 star motel. Tour and taxi booking at the hotel was overpriced. Location was good in the old quarter and in walking distance to entertainment and dinning. However will Not stay there again.

We checked in and checked out within 1 hr once we saw our room with peeling, damp wall paper, torn grubby curtains and dim light with a very small window. The staff were understanding and offered to move us to a better hotel in the chain for and extra $20, agreeing that the rooms were not the same as those on the website. Mind you it was cheap so probably fair for the price. We found another hotel close by and forfeited the money paid already. In summary the Hang Bac hotel of the Silver chain needs to be completely refurbished.

My goals for traveling to Hanoi were to reunite with a friend living there and practice international travel. I accomplished both, and am very happy with the over-all experience. I saw a number of temples and the army museum. Among other sites. It was like candy for the eye.
