Hanoi Phoenix Hotel is also a tour guide outlet. I was dubious at first but the staff were very helpful. They showed us a range of brochures and made a recommendation. We had an excellent experience. We are budget travellers and enjoyed our stay. The staff offered to do things for us that made our stay in Vietnam more enjoyable. Breakfast was fine – a mixture of Asian and Western food with abundant fresh fruit. The room was adequate but had nowhere to put bags which is shortcoming of some budget hotels. A bench instead of a wardrobe would have been more useful. I would recommend the hotel to budget travellers.

This hotel was humid, dirty and claustrofobic. Don't trust reviews telling you otherwise (as I did).

Excellent value for money. The hotel staff are very friendly and help wherever they can.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The location is walking distance to many of the attractions. The free breakfast and internet gives value to the guest.

Stayed two nights and think it's correct place for the price they charge. Got a quiet room as requested. It was rather small and the window was into a narrow "well" facing another room window - not bad if you just sleep there. Staff tries to help you but they are not too good in English. If somebody manages to explain to them "one side fried eggs" / "sunny side up" - I'ld take off my hat!!! Will probably stay there again.
