My daughter and I came out to Sacramento for a family wedding...we're from Michigan. We were unfamiliar with the area, but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly...all the way from check-in to check-out. We stayed 4 nights and received nothing but stellar service! There was one morning that, for whatever reason, there was alot of door closing/slamming starting around 6:00 a.m. That is the only negative about our entire stay, and is in no way a reflection of the staff or property. Even the breakfast staff were cheery and pleasant to talk with! They had a complimentary shuttle to the airport which was a huge blessing. (That driver too, was very friendly) I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel. About 10-15 minutes from "Old Sacramento" (a $24 cab ride) Shopping and a Wal-Mart are just across the expressway. We ate at Panda Express across the street which was decent for an easy meal. There is also a StarBucks across the street, as well as a Subway and Jack in the Box. Didn't really see any area sights, as our main reason for being there was the wedding, but our stay was excellent!
