Hampton Inn Orlando/Lake Buena Vista Guest Reviews
We were very pleased with the welcome we received as well as the comfort and convenience of the hotel. Its location is ideal for visiting the attractions in the area and the breakfast is quite adequate. It is an inexpensive alternative to staying within the Disney property.

Good value hotel. Big screen tv in room. Good breakfast. Very close to downtown Disney

This was my family's first trip to Orland, and we basically spent all of our time at Disneyworld. While this hotel was fine for that, I think that next time I'll be staying on a Disney property. This Hampton Inn was fine. The staff was very nice. The pool was good on the day we took a break. There were restaurants and pharmacies within walking distance (but not super close; about 3/4 of a mile). The rooms were always cleaned and the beds made, although once we didn't get new towels and another time or two it felt like the beds hadn't been made very well. The shuttle to Disney World was okay, but not ideal. The reason is the timing. The first run in the morning leaves at about 8:40, and though it's free the driver asks for tips. If you want to get to any parks besides Epcot at opening, you won't make it. Not by about 30 minutes, as once you get to the Epcot parking you have to catch the monorail or bus to the other parks. That was in the morning. In the evening, the shuttle picked us up too late. Most of the time, we ended up taking a taxi back to the hotel. About $25-$30 per ride. Expensive, but way cheaper than renting a car and parking at Disney. In addition, Disney has a free shuttle service to and from the airport. It's slower than a taxi or car or shuttle service, yes, but it's free. For our group of 7, taxi service to and from the airport was going to be about $100 each way, except we lucked out and on the trip to the hotel we got a rental car for $60. Even then, I had to drop the car off at the rental place, and walk two miles back to the hotel. So, in summary, here's why next time I will go to a Disney resort: despite having to pay for breakfast, it will probably be cheaper because I won't be paying for transportation to and from the hotel; also, I will have the convenience of being able to get to and from the parks at whatever time I want, without having to pay for a taxi or arrange my schedule around an adequate but lackluster shuttle service.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The shuttle from the hotel to Disney locations greatly reduced the hassles of driving and parking, but reduced the flexibility of coming and going.

First room was smelling musty. After that keys were deactivated and the person at the front desk did not know how to reactivate them
