Hampton Inn Manhattan-Times Square North

We could NOT have made a better choice than to stay at this particular Hampton Inn! (except for one bad experience that was not the hotel´s fault). The room with 2 queen beds was very comfortable and well equipped, the hotel staff were very professional and friendly ALL the time (even when I had a complaint that they tried to resolve, due to somebody smoking in the next room & that smell coming through the air vents our last morning, that was totally objectionable), the standard Hampton Inn breakfast was very good & very well managed both mornings, and in addition to all of that, the hotel LOCATION was great to boot! I would highly recommend this hotel for future stays--not only for my own family and friends, but ALSO for anyone reading this evaluation! Thanks for a wonderful stay, Jennifer

Hotel clean, and staff very helpful and polite. Found buffet breakfast very plentiful and varied with tea, coffee and other beverages available 24 hours. Great location for sight seeing with most in walking distance or excellent bus or train services. Would strongly recommend and would stay here again although is quite expensive, but it is New York.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location couldn't have been any better--it was within easy walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and to our theater. Everyone there was helpful and the breakfast was very good. We also used the subway for transportation and it was very close. The map provided by the hotel was useful and easy to read.

Make no mistake, you are paying for the location of this hotel. The room is average and would probably be $100 in any suburb. However, you are literally blocks from Time Square. Room is clean, staff is fine. No refrigerator in room which would have been nice. Other than that, hard to complain about anything.

This trip to NYC was our first. I was traveling with my daughters ages 18 & 24. I selected this Hampton Inn (Times Sq. North) after extensive internet research primarily because of the location, 2 queen bed option and the breakfast that was provided. We were amazed at how safe we felt walking to and from our hotel even after late night shows. The location was everything I had hoped it would be. It was very clean, rooms were spacious and comfortable and breakfast was just what we needed to get us going for the day. Every breakfast included cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread, muffins, milk/juice,bagels and a place to make your own waffles. The protein source varied each day from bagels topped with cheese/eggs to omelets to ham or sausage. There was also a 24 hour coffee/tea/cocoa bar that was great to have available when we came in late. AND because we had chosen to travel w/out our laptops, we loved being able to check out an IPad every night to catch up on emails. I would definitely stay here again...and I hope someday we can.

The Hampton Inn Manhattan was ideally located to the Theater District. We saw Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Billy Elliot. It was only a few minutes walk to those two theaters. We walked to Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, top of the Empire State Building, and, of course, 5th Avenue with all the "shops!" We took the subway--also just a few minutes away-- to the financial district and toured Wall Street. The Hampton Inn had a great staff, very good breakfast, very clean and pleasing rooms, and coffee throughout the day. They gave superb directions to anywhere. I will certainly stay here on my next visit.

This hotel was close to anything that we wanted to do. It was short walk over to time square. We walked to the Today Show Tuesday morning and also walked to the broadway show, "Spiderman" on Thursday evening. The concergie told us how to catch the subway to a Yankees game. The free breakfast in the morning always got us off to a good start.

All Mid town Manhatten hotels are expensive, and so is the Hampton Inn at least compared to Hampton Inns across the country. However, it's right "There" near everything, Times Square, Theater District, Rockefeller Ctr.,etc. You can walk to all of those. It's also just a few blocks if that from a variety of subway lines, and again that makes it easy to get to museums and down to lower Manhattan. By not staying at a less expensive hotel outside the City we didn't have to waste time coming into the City just to start our day. Rooms were big for NYC. Staff of the hotel and frankly every New Yorker we asked for directions from or interacted with could not have been nicer.

I found the reception staff to be extremely polite, pleasant and friendly - check in was a breeze! My only constructive feedback - and this is just be down to timing - was the breakfast room was a little noisy and crowded because there were a number of group bookings that coincided with my visit. I would still recommend the hotel without hesitation.

Theatre District's Best Kept Secret!! Great hotel - clean, fantastic location, walk to everywhere, close to theatres and Restaurant Row!! My husband and I have stayed here for 6 years in a row and would not stay anywhere else. Good breakfast included and reasonable rates. They are super quick to respond to any problem and things are corrected immediately. Highly recommend!!
