Hampton Inn Key Largo Guest Reviews
The room itself was fine. Average to slightly above average accomodations. Pool area was small but nice and the beach area was great. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay here again but for one problem. The smell in the rooms. Apparently they have a bad moisture problem and the moisture has gotten into the carpeting which needs to be replaced before I would stay again. I had to constantly spray the room with an air freshener to make it habitable.

We had an amazing time in Key Largo, much of it thanks to staying at this hotel. The hotel itself is fairly well located for just about anything you want to do(though a bit hard to see as you're driving down the highway due to trees blocking the sign). We spent every evening hanging out at the Tiki bar with [...] (the bartenders) and watching the most amazing sunsets. They were so friendly and the locals (like [...]) that stopped by made you feel right at home. I've been to a lot of hotel bars and none have had this very cool and friendly vibe. If you stay at this hotel and you don't visit the bar you're really missing out. During the days we went sight seeing all over the place. One thing I wouldn't recommend if you have any sort of motion sickness issues is the glass bottom boat rides. I took the max dosage of the motion sickness meds and still got sick (and that on a relatively calm sea). We snorkeled and went out on the water alot during the rest of the vacation and I had no issues. Of things you must check out, [...] is here stands out. It's a fruit stand few miles north in Homestead on the way to the Everglades. Go there and have a mango...it'll be the best fruit you've ever eaten.Overall the only negative part of the hotel stay was the shower in our room. The design was poorly thought out and we often ended up having water come out of the shower...after the first night we just started asking for extra towels and just covering the bathroom floor with them so water wouldn't flow out into the entryway.

This hotel is a great place to stay while in Key Largo. Don't expect a five star place however. No bellman will help with your bags. I could not get one of the 2 room keys they gave us to work. After exchanging keys twice at the front desk, I gave up. No one offered to walk upstairs with me to try it out. That said, the Tiki bar, the sunset view, and the exercise facilities were excellent!

The room was excellent. Clean and confortable. The continental breakfast was great. They had bagel toppers which were awesome! The Tiki Bar on the water was a great place to watch the sunset and relax from the adventures of the day! Definitely would stay again!
