The apartment was very comfortable with a separate bedroom and fully equiped kitchen. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood, across the street from a golf course. Very quiet and clean place. Make sure to have dinner at the Yorkeys Knob Boating Club about a mile from the Apartments. It has a fantastic deck, good inexpensive meals.

Half Moon Bay Resort is a great place for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Somewhat remote, the local restaurants offer a shuttle service to pick up and drop off. Also the Rainforest tour and Great Barrier Reef tour came by to pick up and drop off. Geoff and Carol were very pleasant folks and made our stay delightful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Geoff and Carol who run Half Moon Bay are fantastic. This is an ideal location for exploring Cairns (11KM away), the Cairns Peninsula, the Barrier Reef, The Rain Forest and to experience some aboriginal culture. The hotel for value for money is the best I've been to. Also good golf course 100 metres across road.

I would definitely recommend this Hotel. It is situation on the edge of the forest and within walking distance of a beach with everything you need. Good restaurants nearby and facilities to make your own meals. Car hire available for the weak and lazy and most tour operators pick up and drop off from the hotel. You have a wonderful feeling of privacy. Excellent value.

Wow, what a find this little hotel was! We had such a good stay there and would go back any time. The manager and his wife transferred us to and from the hotel, organised our tours which they put onto our room account at no extra cost so we paid for our room and tours at one time, they recommended restaurants. Most of the restaurants offered courtesy shuttles from the hotel and back. The room was lovely with all the facilities we needed like a washer and dryer and kitchen facilities. The golf course is just across the road. I would recommend this hotel to any one!
