Hotel Ocean Hualien Guest Reviews
We were picked up from the trainstation after contacting the hotel a day in advance by email. The reception was very friendly and they sent one of their employees who spoke good english. The rooms are good, clean, bathroom with bath/shower, everything is there. Big flatscreen with many channels. Every evening you can get a shuttle to the centreat 7 pm and are picked up at 9 (or at any time you want I guess). During the day we were offered free bikes. Hualien is easy to explore by bike. They arranged a nice (relatively cheap) trip to Taroko gorge. Eventhough there was no english guide, it was worth it. Some rooms like ours (502) have a view on the pacific and port. There is an adjoining covered balcony, where the windows can be openee. On the 6th floor there is a roofterrace. We had a great 3 days there. Especially because of the friendly staff.

Modern hotel with new rooms and location close to the waterfront. The Staff were very helpful and prepared to go the extra mile - when we arrived they didn't have the baby cot we required so they purchased a new one and had it delivered to our room within a couple of hours. They also have bikes available which is a great way to get into town and see the waterfront parks.

Very good experience the breakfast could have a bit more variete of western meals, but above all the people that work there are all very helpfull and nice
