While the room had the expected features and the staff were thorough in their cleaning nothing can make up for the fact that this mature facility has become quite shabby. There was evidence that some recent maintenance had been carried out but a lot of the paintwork was still worn/damaged, Torn wallpaper had not been repaired and painting over bubbled wallpaper is not a good look. If you have breakfast included then be aware that it is about 100m away at an adjacent property - not so clever if it is raining!

I had stayed at this motel a couple of years ago so I thought I would return after a previous good experience, how I was disappointed as the place has gone backwards, when I arrived the unmown grass and the damaged motel sign at the front was definitely an omen. The external appearance of the the motel has declined significantly as well as the rooms which look like they have not had any maintenance since my last stay two years ago. Peeling wallpaper, broken tiles, a leaking shower, threadbare carpets and ant infestations were just some of the problems. The service was still good at the front office but the place has gone backwards. Certainly not a four star motel and wouldnt stay there again. Breakfast at a nearby motel as offered was good though.

The front of house staff were good. The rooms were very tired, and breakfast had to be taken at another motel down the road. Not good when it's raining!

Very average hotel with spa, we enjoy the spa. extra bed wasn't very confortable but for one night it's ok

Nice and quiet place to stay in Rotorua away from the crowded centre. Standard, nothing too luxurious but clean and comfortable / affordable for a whole family.
